The countdown is over — race weekend is here for the Hutt City SHE Triathlon!
We are so excited to welcome you to the start line at Wainuiomata Summer Swimming Pool.
📍 Arrival & Transition
Transition and Race Pack Pick-Up Location:
Wainuiomata Rugby Football Club Inc.
Please allow plenty of time on arrival to collect your race pack and set up your transition area comfortably.
We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your race start time to allow time for:
- Parking
- Collecting your race pack
- Racking your bike
- Toilet queues
- Warming up
- Setting up transition
Giving yourself plenty of time will help you feel calm, settled, and in control.
Important Morning Notes
- The pool and changing rooms will not open until 6:00am. Please arrive already wearing your togs.
- If possible, use the bathroom before arriving, as early morning queues can form.
- A little planning ahead will make your morning far more relaxed.
🚴♀️ Bike Course Safety
The bike course will NOT be closed to general traffic.
While vehicle movement is typically very low at that time of the morning, your safety is our top priority. Please:
- Ride defensively
- Stay alert at all times
- Follow all road rules
- Be mindful of fellow riders
- Be prepared to stop when entering roundabouts
- Give way where required
Look after yourself and one another — we want everyone finishing strong and smiling.

🎽 Race Pack Pick-Up
Saturday: 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Collect your race pack under the tent matching your wave colour
(Red Wave = Red Tent, etc.)
We highly recommend walking through transition and parts of the course with a SHE team member on Saturday if you can. It’s a great way to calm nerves and familiarise yourself with the flow of race day.
If you can’t make Saturday:
Sunday: From 5:30am
You’ll collect your race pack, shirt, and goodies — and have the chance to chat with the amazing team from Lorna Jane.
🗺 Updated Race Maps & Course Changes
We have updated the race maps and transition flow. Please take time to carefully review the images provided so you feel confident and familiar before race morning.
Run Course Update:
After leaving Transition, you will head along Moohan Street. The run course now consists of two laps. Please follow signage and marshal instructions carefully on the day.

✨ A Final Word Before Sunday
Take a breath.
You’ve done the training. You’ve shown up on the early mornings. You’ve pushed through the hard sessions and the moments of doubt.
Sunday isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being proud.
Race smart. Stay present. Smile when you can. And remember — you belong on that start line just as much as anyone else.
We can’t wait to see you out there.
See you on the start line,
