Race Pack Collection
When can I collect my race pack?
You can collect your race pack on:
- Saturday before the event: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Race morning: From 5:30 AM at the event venue
Your race pack includes:
- Official race number (for bib and bike)
- Safety pins or stickers for number placement
- Event information and course maps
- Goodies and surprises from SHE partners and sponsors
We recommend collecting your pack on Saturday if possible — it helps make race morning stress-free and gives you time to familiarise yourself with the course and transition area.
Walk-Through:
What is a "walk-through"?
On Saturday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, experienced triathletes — including Special K alumni — will lead optional walk-throughs every half-hour.
During a walk-through, you will:
- Learn about the swim course and safety tips
- Be guided through the transition area where you’ll rack your bike
- Experience the flow from swim to bike and bike to run/walk
- Have any last-minute questions answered to help calm pre-race nerves
Walk-throughs are optional and complimentary, designed to boost your confidence and ensure you feel prepared for race day.
Race Distances:
Whether you’re a first-timer or looking to challenge yourself, the SHE Triathlon offers distances designed to be achievable, fun, and empowering for women of all fitness levels.
Triathlon:
- Swim: 300m held either in a pool or ocean (depending on your event location). Our ocean swim features calm, shallow waters with full lifeguard support, perfect for beginners taking on their first open-water challenge.
- Cycle: 10km (flat and scenic course, suitable for road or hybrid bikes)
- Run/Walk: 3km (enjoy the final leg at your own pace run, jog, or walk across the finish line!)
Duathlon:
- Run 1: 1km warm-up run to get the heart pumping
- Cycle: 10km bike ride
- Run 2: 3km run or walk to finish strong
These distances are designed to encourage participation, confidence, and fun — whether you’re doing it for fitness, friendship, or personal achievement.
Transition & Bike Racking:
What is transition?
Transition is the area where you switch between swimming, biking, and running/walking. It’s where you store all your triathlon gear, including your bike. On race morning, volunteers will guide you to your designated spot in the transition area.
How does bike racking work?
The transition area has two sections:
- Bikes with stands – use this section if your bike has a stand for extra space.
- Bikes without stands – hang your bike on the racks provided.
When do I rack my bike?
Bike racking takes place on race morning only. Bikes cannot be racked the day before the event.
Can I complete the triathlon in my swimming togs?
Yes! Most participants swim in their togs, then head to transition to:
- Towel off
- Put on their SHE Triathlon shirt
- Dry their feet and put on socks/shoes if desired
- Put on a helmet and grab a sip of water before cycling
After the bike leg, return to transition, rack your bike, remove your helmet, and start the run/walk leg.
